In July of this year we stayed in the Williwah for 12 relaxing days and we'll be back in May of 2003 for 12 days again! We love staying on the smaller islands in the Caribbean and typically don't repeat our visits...there are so many to experience! But, Nevis, Hurricane Cove, and the Williwah beckon us!
When I tell people where we vacationed, they always ask, "Where is Nevis? I've never hear of it." Well, it's a beautifully green, fragrant, friendly, small island where you can do much or nothing at all. The Williwah is a beautiful bungalow with several levels, open to the air, sitting on a ridge that gets a constant breeze. (No walking in to the usual frigid air conditioned air!) We enjoyed a full kitchen, walk-in closet, nice bathroom, a sun porch with large open windows looking at St. Kitts, and a bedroom opening out through dutch doors to our own spacious pool. Truly amaxing!
Kathyrn and Steve Wyatt and crew keep the grounds, pools, and the bungalows impeccable. Oualie Beach is a short walk from the property and our favorite restaurants, Booby's and Sunshine's were only a few minutes away by car. Lobster, wahoo, red snapper, shrimp, ribs, mahi mahi were SO flavorful. Wait until you taste West Indian prepared vegetables! Miss June's dinner party is not to be missed. HCB will arrange it for you.
We were in five airports on our long travel day and it was so nice to be picked up by Biddy (arranged by Kathryn) and driven to our bungalow where we found food and drink to be enjoyed by the pool at the end of a long day! These are just a few of the reasons we'll be dong it all over again in eight months!
