My friend Terri and I spent a week at Hurricane Cove. Our first words upon seeing Williwah were: “It’s going to be hard to leave this bungalow! It can’t get much better than this!”
But eventually, we tore ourselves away and ventured down to the beach for some excellent scuba diving, great dinner, trips to town, hiking in the rainforest, golf at a fun little twelve hole 3-par a few miles away…but never in our travels saw a better bungalow than Williwah. The pool was perfect. The privacy superb. We spent hours writing, reading, lounging, swimming and napping. We knew the resort was occupied, but somehow felt as if we were the only tenants. Kathryn and Steve are excellent hosts and when the airlines clustered up our arrival plans, Kathryn handled the logistics of pick-up and transportation by making behind the scenes arrangements with the locals. The people of Nevis are THE friendliest humans on the planet. It seemed we were constantly on the receiving end of a warm smile, or a timely piece of advice, or help with directions. I can only add that I’ve already made arrangements to return year…this time for TWO weeks.
