Hurricane Cove has been our vacation retreat each year for the past five years. We stayed for the month of July this year (2006) in Seastone, the three bedroom villa on the property. Our kids and their significant others came down to visit one week, and other family came another week. We had to suffer all alone for the other two weeks, here in what arguably can be called, a true paradise.
This is a great place. the bungalows are wooden and very open with large windows and porches. They have full kitchens and all the amenities. There is a community pool and several of the bungalows have their own pools. They are not plunge pools, but a real swim from one end to another. It is just gorgeous here. There is no TV, radios or phones. You just hear the constant sound of the waves on the shore. The trade winds help keep things cool and if the sun gets warm (imagine that here in the Caribbean) a dip in the pool takes care of that.
Kathryn and Steve are excellent hosts, and have gone out of their way to always make our stays here comfortable.
We love the beauty and the privacy that Hurricane Cove provides. We can walk down to Oualie Beach to snorkel or walk along Lovers Beach, ususally enjoying that entire beach to ourselves.
I can not speak for others who may have found issues with this place, but Hurricane Cove has, and is, one of the finest vacation spots we have found in all our years of travelling. We will be back next year.
