July was our tenth consecutive annual vacation at Hurricane Cove. This year was special. As usual, we were at Seastone, our favorite for its incredible views, privacy and for the extra room that allows others to come down and visit with us when we are here. This year was special as our daughter chose to get married at Seastone. Almost twenty people flew down for the special occasion, most coming to Nevis for their very first time. They were awestruck at the beauty of the island and of Hurricane Cove. Kathryn was an incredible help with all of the details that we needed help with. We couldn’t have done it without her. We all spent the wedding morning decorating Seastone with local flowers and decorations brought down to the island. Errol Pemberton captured the day for us as the official photographer. Lauren wore a gorgeous wedding gown that she hand-carried down. She and her handsome husband Noble were married at a noon time ceremony around the pool with St. Kitts in the background. Following the ceremony, we celebrated with tons of food, music and dancing all through the day and into the night. The next day, Sunday, we rented the Caona, the large catamaran docked at Oualie, with its excellent captain and crew. They took us over to St. Kitts where we snorkeled and swam and had a great time. On the way back we succeeded in racing through a vicious squall (actually just a rain shower but we used our imaginations) arriving back to Hurricane Cove for dinner. The guests returned home on Monday and the bride and groom enjoyed a week’s honeymoon at Sea Biscuit. Even though every unit in Hurricane Cove was occupied, Kathryn and her staff gave us an incredible amount of attention and help. Special thanks to Julie, Burton, Monique and Steve. It was just the most incredible experience and people are still talking about it.
